To tell you the truth that is not a lot of time.  By the time we disembarked, got our driver, loaded the car and drove from Miami to ft. lauderdale....we had 2 1/2 hrs to eat lunch, check in, etc.....we ended up being the last to board the plane!  Our driver asked us if we wanted to stop anywhere on the way to the airport but we knew didn't have an overabudance of time to sight see...so we just had a leisurely lunch at Chili's in the airport(they are slow at serving).

I would have to agree with you.  We flew out of MIA after our last cruise and we had a 1:00pm flight from Miami.   So by the time you disembark, get to the Fort Lauderdale Airport, it does not sound like you have much time for sightseeing.  We had #1 also for disembarkation and we had time for lunch at MIA.
