Haven't booked it yet, but it is in our future.

Who else is going?

Yes, my hubby and myself have been booked for 6 months!  We can hardly wait.  This will be our second on Carnival and we booked a balcony room on the Panorama deck!  We live in the Charleston area and are thrilled that we do not have to travel to get to port!!!

We live in Charleston and this will be the first cruise we wont have to fly to or drive for hours for.  We are still debating, however, because the Fantasy is now permanent here and is quite a bit cheaper.  But we have been on the Fantasy before so a different ship would be fun to explore.  Then again, we fell in love on the Fantasy...so....you see our dilemma.  We need to figure that out soon though....its right around the corner.

Had I known that Charleston was to become the port for Carnival, we may have thought twice....but, we researched the Glory and it looks to be a terrific ship.  Our last cruise was out of Tampa on the Sensation and Glory looks soooo much better.  I am sure that we will sail on the Fantasy in the future and may book the cruise while onboard Glory!!  Yes, it is great to just drive a few miles versus a day!

Morning folks..

Well, it's official. Booked on the Glory out of Charleston last week. Got one of the timers up on the pc to start the countdown. 187 days to go.

I am also considering going out on the Fantasy sometime in Sept as the prices drop quit a bit after school goes back into session.

Hi,

My hubby and myself live in the Charleston area and booked our cruise about 6 months ago.  We are also counting down the days until we are on the ONLY TRUE VACATION!  We need to investigate the baggage drop off location - I heard from another cruiser that it is not in the terminal like other ports.  We have only cruised out of Tampa, and they took our luggage there at the port to transfer to the ship.  The luggage drop off has a different street address here in Charleston.  My name is Teresa and his is Jim...you?  Are you from the Charleston area?  We are thinking of taking another cruise and booking it while on the Glory.  It is wonderful that Carnival is sailing year round!!!!

I live in Goose Creek.

I dropped off wifey for her cruise on the Triumph last Memorial Day and this is what will happen.

You will enter the port area from the street that the aquarium is on and follow the signs and officers posted everywhere. You will pull into a covered area where the stewards will off load your luggage. from there you either drop off your passengers and leave the area or pull around and park if you are parking for the duration. then walk over to the terminal for boarding.

We are planning on having someone drop us off and come back and pick us up when we return.

We live in Summerville.  We plan on having our daughter drive us over and then pick us up that Saturday morning upon returning to port.  She is not too happy about getting up so early on that Saturday, but I promised to bring her some goodies back...haha.

Sounds easy enough to get the luggage checked.

We can hardly wait.  This has been a trying year and what we need is a good vacation!
