We have booked a cruise to Alaska out of Seattle on 8/31/09. Can anyone tell me how cold it will be at that time? I know that it will be cool and possible a little cold.
Also it is showing that the shore excursions can only be purchased on board. I understand that due to the possibly of any weather that might cause the excursion to be cancelled. But my question is can anyone give me a price range? We are looking a taking the floatplane to see the bears and possibly the helicopter to see the glaciers. I want to make sure I carry enough money to cover my excursions. I try to have everything paid before we leave.
And last question. Does anyone know if we will still be able to see whales this late in the season? We have seen whales out of San Diego(awesome!!!) and are heading to St. Lucia this January to see them there.
Thanks ahead of time.
