We just got back from the Eastern Caribbean on the Liberty and had a wonderful time. We are planning to take a cruise to the Western Caribbean next year in May and the itinerary that I want to take is on the Liberty again. There is another itinerary on the Freedom that would be my second choice but it is only a 6 day cruise. I enjoy that extra day with the 7 day cruise. I guess why I am so torn with my decision is that I enjoy seeing and exploring the different ships and going on the same ship right after just coming off of it makes me wonder if I should take the 6 day cruise and experience a different ship. Any suggestions or has anyone been in the same situation?

We love the Liberty and the ports she visits - so it's a win-win for us! :)

If you know you want to visit the ports Liberty stops at and you like the ship why not repeat a cruise on her. You'll already know your way around the ship like a pro!

Whatever you decide have a great cruise!

Happy Cruising! :) Trish 09/06/10 - Destiny - back-to-back - 9 wonderful days !! 09/02/10 - Destiny - back-to-back 01/16/10 - Carnival Liberty - gee, think we like the Liberty??!! :) 09/12/09 - Carnival Liberty 02/21/09 - Carnival Liberty 09/29/08 - Carnival Fascination 05/03/08 - Carnival Triumph 05/06/07 - Carnival Conquest 01/07/07 - Caribbean Princess - Wedding Cruise 09/18/06 - Carnival Celebration 12/11/05 - Carnival Victory

the Liberty and the Freedom and the same class of ship so they layout is the same just a different decor.   the 6 day cruise is a good one,  I enjoyed it but like you just wished it was a little longer

We cruised the Liberty two years in a row because we loved the ship and like someone else has said you will already know your way around the ship so you feel right at home immediately.  Our first cruise on the Liberty was the Panama Canal.  The next year we simply cruised on the Liberty because that itinerary offered more days at sea which we love.  And a 7 night (or more) cruise is always a plus for us.  We just got off the Miracle having been on it for 8 nights.  It was great.  LMP

Hey LMP glad you had a great time. I can't wait for our turn. I was wandering if they had a sandwich grill where my DH can get a Rueben sandwich? That's his favorite and I think he tried to eat one everyday on the Valor but I didn't see anything like that on the restaurant list for the Miracle.

Oh yes, there is a deli that makes those wonderful sandwiches and they have the Rueben.  We got on early, about 11:45, and that was our first stop!  LMP

The best cruise we have been on so far is the Legend, stopping in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan, Honduras.  We absolutely LOVE Cozumel and Roatan, and Belize and Grand Cayman were great too...and the Legend certainly lives up to it's name.

We leave in 13 days on our next cruise on the Freedom...and it will probably be my favorite ship after that cruise!.....til the next one!!!!

HALFWAY TO PLATINUM!!!!
