Has anyone been on the Tropical Jungle Paradise Tour in Puerta Vallarta?  I really need to know if  there is much walking, etc.  My Mother wants to do this but she is 75 years old and I need to know if it will be too much for her.  Thanks!

jodylynn .... 2 years ago (Jan. 2008), my wife and I got married on the Carnival Pride and had family and friends cruise with us.  We cruised the Mexican Riviera and we did the Tropical Jungle Paradise Tour in Puerto Vallarta.  The tour included a bus ride to "El Eden" which is a retaurant out in the jungle.  It is not too far from PV, but get to see some scenery.  There is a hike (optional) that is only about 3/4 to a mile long.  Lots of stopping, but the terrain is pretty tough.  Unless your mother is really active, it would be quite a trek.  I know you go up side hills, down hill, cross a stream and then back whichj is also up and down hill to the restaurant.  At the restaurant there are beverages and food offered.  I think you get one drink free, and anything else is extra.  The restaurant people seemed a little irritated because some of us opted not to eat.  They were really pushing the food.  I would not go on this excursion again.  I think they have a city tour that is nice and reasonable.  I like PV and would recommend just catching a cab (make sure you agree on a price before getting in the cab) to the Malecon (main shopping area) and just wander around.  Plenty of restaurants, shops and bars, plus a walk along the bay.  Enjoy your cruise...Charley
