THE VIFP CLUB
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Eligibility

Membership in The VIFP Club (the “Club”) is limited to individuals. No corporate or group memberships are permitted. Limit one (1) Club membership per person.

2. How to Participate

To participate in the Club, enroll online at www.carnival.com/VIFP (the “Site”) and set up a Club account (an “Account”) in accordance with the on-screen instructions. CCL guests who enroll in the Club are referred to herein as “Members”.

3. General Conditions

The Club is sponsored by Carnival Cruise Lines, a division of Carnival Corporation (“CCL”).  Membership in the Club is subject to The VIFP Club Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”).

CCL reserves the right to alter or modify the Club at any time in CCL’s sole discretion without notice to Members, including without limitation, the right to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any provision of the Terms and Conditions or any aspect of the Club, including without limitation, any procedure, the Levels, the number of VIFP Points required for any Level, the method of earning VIFP Points, and the Benefits.  CCL further reserves the right to terminate the Club at any time without notice to Members. Since any changes will be posted on this page, Members should check this page regularly.  Continued membership in the Club following any changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of such changes.  

CCL reserves the right to audit any Member’s Account at any time. CCL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to discontinue participation for any Member who acts or is reasonably suspected of acting in any manner which is inconsistent with or violates these Terms and Conditions or any portion of the Club. CCL also reserves the right to discontinue participation for any Member who (i) acts or is reasonably suspected of acting in a fraudulent, dishonest or improper manner in connection with the Club; (ii) acts in a manner that is deemed detrimental to the Club, as determined by CCL in its sole discretion; or (iii) is ejected from any CCL cruise for any reason. CCL’s termination in a Member’s membership will result in immediate forfeiture of all VIFP Points accumulated.  CCL’s decisions and interpretations of these Terms and Conditions shall be within CCL’s sole discretion and are final and binding. Members are responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to the Terms and Conditions. CCL is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transmission of information regarding the Club, or problems related to any of the equipment or programming associated with the Club.

4. Earn VIFP Points

Members in good standing will receive one (1) VIFP Point for each day cruised (each a “Day”) on a cruise operated by CCL (a “Cruise”), based on published length of sailing. VIFP Points are rewarded for Days actually consumed by a Member, not for reserved Days in the future. VIFP Points may not be awarded for certain charters and/or non-revenue fares, as reasonably determined by CCL. 

Except as otherwise stated herein, VIFP Points are credited to a Member’s Account within fourteen (14) days of completing a Cruise. Members can check their VIFP Point balance by logging into their Account at the Site. CCL may, from time to time, offer opportunities to earn extra VIFP Points through participation in different promotions, contests or sweepstakes.

Members will be deemed a certain “Level” in the Club depending on the number of the VIFP Points earned. The following number of VIFP Points must be earned to be awarded the corresponding Level.  A Member will be a deemed a “Blue” Level Member once the Member registers for the Club and such Member will be deemed a “Red” Level Member once the Member embarks on a second Cruise.   All earnings after that are based on the number of Days a Member accrues on eligible Cruises.

Not withstanding the foregoing, in the event a Member books a Cruise in which such Member will attain the necessary VIFP Points to reach a new Level during or by the end of such Cruise (a “Crossover Cruise”), CCL may, in its sole discretion, offer such Member the Benefits offered to Members of the higher Level during the Crossover Cruise.

In order to earn VIFP Points for Cruises that begin and end in Australia (each an “Australian Cruise”), Members must log into their Account and request that VIFP Points be awarded for Days earned on such Australian Cruise(s). Members must review their cruise history and submit a request by clicking on “Missing a Cruise?” and provide the requested information. CCL will not automatically award VIFP Points for any Australian Cruise.

5. Club Benefits

Members who achieve a certain Level are entitled to certain benefits (“Benefits”) which are identified on the Site at www.carnival.com/VIFP/benefits during each Cruise. Benefits are subject to change at any time without notice to Members. Except for any termination reasons mentioned above, once the Member has reached a certain Level, the Member may maintain such Level while taking Cruises with CCL.

6. Disclaimer and Limitations

Neither CCL, nor its parent, subsidiaries or affiliated companies will be responsible for any loss, injury or damage of any kind incurred by Member or anyone else in connection with Member’s participation in the Club.

THE CLUB IS OFFERED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” CCL MAKES NO WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT TO THE CLUB AND CCL HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE CLUB, AND ANY PURCHASES OR BENEFITS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CCL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANY MEMBER OR OTHER PERSON FOR ANY DIRECT, COMPENSATORY, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, WARRANTY, STATUTORY RIGHTS OR ANY OTHER BASIS ARISING OUT OF, OR CONNECTED WITH, THE CLUB, OR ANY BENEFITS, EVEN IF CCL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR IF SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE. IN THE EVENT ANY OF THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY ARE VOID OR NOT EFFECTIVE, MEMBER AGREES THAT THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF CCL SHALL IN NO CASE EXCEED $25.

7. Questions or Complaints

The Club is administered by Carnival Cruise Lines, a division of Carnival Corporation.  If Members have any questions or complaints regarding the Club, please contact CCL directly at 1.888.227.6482.

8. Previous Loyalty Program

Individuals who are members of CCL’s Past Guest Recognition Program (“PGRP”) must re-activate their Club Account on the Site. Upon activation, Members will maintain equivalent status in the Club as they had in the PGRP as set forth below:

Additionally, certain Gold Level members of the PGRP will have the following opportunities to advance in the Club:

  • Individuals may earn Platinum status in the VIFP Club by taking ten (10) revenue Cruises by December 31, 2013.

9. Miscellaneous

  • Unless otherwise expressly stated herein, VIFP Points and Benefits may not be assigned, sold or otherwise transferred by the Member, by operation of law or otherwise.
  • The Club is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
  • By participating in the Club, Members consent to and authorize CCL to collect information about the Member in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy.  Click here to view the Privacy Policy.
  • All interpretations of these Terms and Conditions as well as questions or disputes regarding participation in the Club, VIFP Points, or Benefits shall be resolved by CCL in its sole discretion.
  • Accumulation of VIFP Points are not Member’s property and may be revoked, cancelled, limited or modified at any time.
  • These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire understanding between CCL and Member with respect to the Club, and supersede any and all prior communications, whether written or oral.
  • Disputes/Choice of Law:  Except where prohibited, each Member agrees that: (i) all issues and questions concerning the Club shall be governed by Florida law without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction; (ii) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to the Club shall be (1) resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (2) filed only in the state or federal courts situated in Miami, Florida and hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such disputes, claims or causes of action; (iii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (iv) under no circumstances will any Member be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
  • While CCL will use its best efforts to ensure accuracy of Club information, printing errors occasionally occur. CCL reserves the right to correct such errors at any time in its sole discretion.
