Part of the appeal is that each family member can customize their vacation based on their interests. Most of the time we stick together because we enjoy the quality time together, but there\u2019s always at least one or two nights on every cruise where my daughter insists that she\u2019d rather play with kids her own age than be with mom and dad. <em>And you know what? It doesn\u2019t bother us a bit!<\/em>\u00a0This free time translates to DATE NIGHT! Something we rarely, if ever, have the opportunity to do at home.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/9daaa94ff0dddc3389bb70c06529e847\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--[random_promoted_video\/]--><\/p>\n<p>So parents, getting adult time on vacation is absolutely possible when you book a Carnival cruise! In fact, planning for a special night out can start as soon as you book. Here are a few of my favorite tips and suggestions for getting the most out of adult time on your cruise vacation.<\/p>\n<p>1. As soon as you have your cruise vacation booked, go online and register your children for camp. This saves you a few minutes of paperwork once you\u2019re on board. Carnival\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/camp-ocean?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#9_1115&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Camp Ocean<\/a> for 2-11 year-olds is free nightly until 10:00pm, and then there\u2019s a small charge for each hour after (until 1:00am). Be sure to pick up a Camp Ocean schedule once on board to see which nights offer \u201cNight Owls\u201d parties (usually the evening before a sea day) \u2014 these late night parties have special themes and include crafts, games, movies and snack<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/3a7feeef6a0fcf592011845573f5fc33\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"497\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. The perfect date night includes dinner for two at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-food\/steakhouse?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#9_1115&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Steakhouse<\/a>. Be sure to make reservations as soon as possible to ensure a specific night and time is available. Plan to spend at least 2 hours at the steakhouse for a multiple course feast \u2026 you will not leave hungry! If you are too stuffed for dessert, ask for it to-go! My husband and I often take the colossal cheesecake back to our room to enjoy on the balcony.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/b595498efe5081dcf2a0d7e4058e696b\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"475.7013333333333\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/e10f5be7e45de71456ae0f6fd57d88d8\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"547\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. If you have a little extra time after dinner, consider taking in one of the \u201cAdult Only\u201d comedy shows. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/punchliner-comedy-club?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#9_1115&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">The Punchliner Comedy Club<\/a> presented by George Lopez always features the best comedians from around the country.<\/p>\n    <form action=\"\" class=\"learn-more-form\">\n        <h2 class=\"learn-more-form--title\">Plan a getaway<\/h2>\n        <label for=\"destination\">Where to<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-destination\" name=\"destination\" class=\"wLarge\" aria-label=\"destination\" title=\"destination\">\n          <option value=\"any\">Any Destination<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <label for=\"depart\">From where<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-port\" name=\"port\" class=\"wLarge\" aria-label=\"port\" title=\"port\">\n          <option value=\"any\">Any Departure Port<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <label for=\"duration\">How long<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-duration\" name=\"duration\" class=\"wNormal\" aria-label=\"duration\" title=\"duration\">\n            <option value=\"any\">Any Cruise Length<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <input id=\"SearchCruise\" type=\"submit\" class=\"submit button\" value=\"Explore\">\n    <\/form>\n  \n<p>Not all date nights have to be at night. If your family enjoys dinner together, plan a day date on one of the sea days. Camp Ocean runs during the day as well, offering kids supervised pool time (with permission), scavenger hunts and more. Here are my top two picks for adult time during the day.<\/p>\n<p>1. Carnival makes it easy for adults to get away during the day with their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/serenity?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#9_1115&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Serenity Adult Only Retreat<\/a>, a 21+ area with loungers, hammocks, oversized umbrellas and ultimately, peace and quiet. It\u2019s a great way to spend time with your loved one without doing anything at all! A nearby bar with frosty beverages makes Serenity the perfect cruise escape.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/be4a5080169ee7d877d0ce29f4b67f5f\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"499\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/034d738e004eb507c3085ce01b014035\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"499\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/757c542ff86cb1e3fc2bf50317971c65\" alt=\"test\" width=\"750\" height=\"497\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. For the ULTIMATE day out, consider booking a couples massage, or one of the many other fabulous services at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/cloud-9-spa?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#9_1115&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Cloud 9 Spa<\/a>. My husband and I always look for spa deals during our days at sea. Pedicures, manicures, massages and aromatherapy treatments are a great way for couples to spend time on a ship. If your partner isn\u2019t into a spa treatment, many Carnival ships offer use of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/cloud-9-hydrotherapy-pool\">Hydrotherapy pool<\/a> and thermal suite with a day pass.
