You come home with amazing memories from your cruise\u2026but you almost always leave behind a bar of soap.<\/p>\n

Great news: now your leftovers are doing some good! Thanks to Carnival\u2019s new partnership<\/a> with Clean the World<\/a>, we\u2019re making sure any soap that\u2019s left at the end of your North American cruise doesn\u2019t end up in the trash.<\/p>\n

Instead, your soap is goes to people who need it. Believe it or not\u2026 we\u2019re recycling it!<\/p>\n

If that sounds a little odd, hear us out. It works like this:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Once you head home, your stateroom steward collects whatever soap is left behind in the bathroom.<\/li>\n
  2. We gather all the soap on the ship and send it off to our partners at Clean the World.<\/li>\n
  3. They get the soap, melt it down and use it to form new bars of soap. (And don\u2019t worry \u2014 they clean it first.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We think this is so cool!<\/p>\n

    Our partnership means that every year 400,000 more bars of new soap \u2014 made from 40-ish tons of scraps we expect to collect \u2014 will end up in the hands of people who need them in Puerto Rico<\/a>, The Bahamas<\/a>, Mexico<\/a>, Bermuda<\/a>, Central America<\/a> and the Dominican Republic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s truly not a stretch to say that a simple bar of soap has the potential to transform someone\u2019s life. Hygiene matters: nearly 5,000 kids die every day of related diseases, and Clean the World can say it\u2019s helped reduce this number by a full 60%!<\/p>\n

    This is so important, it\u2019s even caught the attention of the folks at the top:<\/p>\n
