In fact, it\u2019s usually the only time I can lose weight. I always tell Randy that traveling for a year would be one of the healthiest things I could do for myself, not to mention the easiest, and undoubtedly the most fun way for me to get to my goal weight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/82c40ebb0221eec810c1f0af1b049f89\" alt=\"test\" width=\"429.33333333333337\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">I was looking forward to our <a href=\"http:\/\/carnival.com\/?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carnival cruise<\/a> for a number of reasons, but, if I\u2019m being honest, it\u2019s because I wanted to use the time to set up a healthy routine before the holidays officially started. With that in mind, I treated the cruise ship like my own personal health and wellness resort, except this resort moved, so I also got to play in some pretty incredible places too. This turned out to be a fun way to cruise, and I came up with these five tips that you can use to stay fit on your next cruise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><!--[random_promoted_video\/]--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Get Physical<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This was our second Carnival cruise, so I knew going into the trip that the workout facilities onboard would be top notch. At our disposal we had a world class <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/fitness-center?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gym<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/basketball?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">basketball court<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/jogging-track?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jogging track<\/a>, and a studio for classes like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard-classic\/cruise-spa\/yoga-pilates?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yoga and Pilates<\/a>, all of which we made use of. At the start of the cruise, we had back to back sea days, so we did a morning Yoga class ($11 per person) on the second day, and found it to be a great start to our day at sea. Plus, walking the length of the ship alone will help you to rack up your daily step count, and by opting for the stairs instead of the elevator, you\u2019ll be able to get a nice little work out without even knowing it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Eat Healthy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You can do this anywhere, even at home, but the best thing about cruising with the intention of eating well is that all of the work is done for you. In many ways it\u2019s like having your own personal chef, something I\u2019ve always wanted. Forget having to wash and cut veggies or even cleaning up, it\u2019s all taken care of. With a myriad of healthy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/dining?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">options<\/a> on board, this is the easiest way to stay fit while cruising, just remember to watch your serving sizes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/652f8252a110970b7ebb260a4530bd47\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Play Hard<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">From bobsledding in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-to\/caribbean-cruises\/montego-bay-cruises?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jamaica<\/a> to learning to dive at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-to\/caribbean-cruises\/grand-cayman-cruises.aspx?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grand Cayman<\/a> reef, there all types of excursions that you can do once you\u2019re in the port. Personally, my favorite types of exercise are ones that are so much fun they don\u2019t feel like exercise at all. If you feel like I do, then chose excursions that include physical activity, such as snorkeling, exploring ruins, and city walking tours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/f9c63b9d900b1389a11a62362b055df0\" alt=\"test\" width=\"429.33333333333337\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Do Nothing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you only remember one tip, make it this one. Taking time for yourself is important for your well-being. And one of the best things about cruising is that you have all the time in the world to simply do nothing, if you so choose.    <form action=\"\" class=\"learn-more-form\">\n        <h2 class=\"learn-more-form--title\">Plan a getaway<\/h2>\n        <label for=\"destination\">Where to<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-destination\" name=\"destination\" class=\"wLarge\" aria-label=\"destination\" title=\"destination\">\n          <option value=\"any\">Any Destination<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <label for=\"depart\">From where<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-port\" name=\"port\" class=\"wLarge\" aria-label=\"port\" title=\"port\">\n          <option value=\"any\">Any Departure Port<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <label for=\"duration\">How long<\/label>\n        <select id=\"ddl-duration\" name=\"duration\" class=\"wNormal\" aria-label=\"duration\" title=\"duration\">\n            <option value=\"any\">Any Cruise Length<\/option>\n        <\/select>\n        <input id=\"SearchCruise\" type=\"submit\" class=\"submit button\" value=\"Explore\">\n    <\/form>\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There were so many ways to relax on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-ships\/carnival-dream?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carnival Dream<\/a> that I could dedicate an entire post them. I guess, though, if I had to pick my favorite then it would be the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/dive-in-movies?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#10_1116&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dive-In Movies<\/a> on the Lido deck, where we watched movies on the big screen under the stars while enjoying fresh popcorn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Drink Smart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I\u2019d tell you to drink less but let\u2019s be honest, this is a cruise. With more <a href=\"http:\/\/beersandbeans.com\/2014\/11\/25\/26-cocktails-tips-next-cruise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cocktails<\/a> than there are letters in the alphabet, it\u2019s safe to say you\u2019ll likely be tipping back the glass more than usual. So the best thing you can do is drink smarter. Stay away from the creamy or sugary staples, like the pina colada, and choose drinks with fewer ingredients, such as a gin and tonic with a few limes\u2013my personal favorite\u2013or a glass of wine or light beer. Also, drinking smart applies to non-alcoholic drinks too.
