I typically order the same items each time I dine at a restaurant. There&#8217;s that level of comfort knowing that I&#8217;m going to love the food I order.<\/p>\n<p>When we\u00a0cruise with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/explore-carnival-cruises?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#3_1109&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Carnival<\/a>, I end\u00a0dinner each night by ordering their signature warm chocolate melting cake for dessert. It&#8217;s an incredible, chocolaty, gooey cake-like dessert that I crave when I&#8217;m at home.<\/p>\n<p>On our last cruise, my husband and I had a special date night at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/onboard\/cruise-food\/chefs-table.aspx?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#3_1109&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">The Chef&#8217;s Table<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a multicourse dinner hosted by the ship&#8217;s chef. It&#8217;s a meal filled with appetizers, entrees, cocktails and, of course, dessert. Come hungry and with an open mind &#8211; each dish\u00a0is fantastic and you&#8217;ll discover new foods too. The experience even includes a tour of the galley &#8211; it is fascinating to see how the ship&#8217;s crew feeds so many passengers!<\/p>\n<p>At the conclusion of our dinner, the chef presented everyone with a copy of the warm chocolate melting cake recipe &#8211; I was trying to play it cool, but secretly I was squealing with excitement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/40cf580706c8f4f3ca2cf7a5f147316d\" alt=\"test\" width=\"644\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My husband and I\u00a0couldn&#8217;t wait to try and make it at home and, soon after we returned from our cruise, we decided to try our luck in the kitchen together. We had such a great time in the kitchen cooking and reminiscing about our past trips. I won&#8217;t lie, he&#8217;s the better cook and I relied on him to get everything just right &#8211; but we succeeded and replicated the perfect dessert!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the exact recipe Carnival uses to make this delicious dessert &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe: Warm Chocolate Melting Cake\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6oz. Dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>6oz. Butter<\/li>\n<li>4 Eggs<\/li>\n<li>1.5oz Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2oz. Flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>METHOD<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt the chocolate and butter<\/li>\n<li>Mix the eggs and sugar and whisk for a few minutes, then add flour<\/li>\n<li>Add the egg mix to the melted chocolate and mix<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mix in greased mold<\/li>\n<li>Bake directly in the oven at 390F for 14 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>CHEF&#8217;S TIP<\/p>\n<p>Make sure the eggs are at room temperature and chocolate is warm enough while making the mixture. Then, serve with ice cream and a fruit garnish.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/710782ad8ac1a461cf02e5adbb0f4408\" alt=\"test\" width=\"525\" height=\"749\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While there&#8217;s nothing better than dessert on a cruise ship, I think we did a pretty good job recreating it on our own at home. It was a fun date-like activity for us to spend time together and the reward was a delicious treat reminding us of our great vacation.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, I can&#8217;t wait to get back to the &#8216;real thing&#8217; again soon on our next cruise.
