And the chefs I met had astounding credentials (years of experience, culinary schools, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>So,\u00a0how did I get behind the scenes? I paid extra\u00a0for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-food\/chefs-table?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#6_1112&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">Chef\u2019s Table<\/a>\u00a0dinner. It was sooooo worth it foodies! This experience\u00a0came highly recommended,\u00a0so I knew I had to splurge.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/89e23eb8196d690d3d90dac098de3b1d\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We spent about an hour\u00a0in the galley, sipping champagne &amp; enjoying carefully styled &amp; elegantly flavored appetizers. This sushi presentation was amazing! As was the pastry&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/e8c67e5edb7c7423accde13e097f2d58\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/aef8ab3aef82ab362f2df5a748facde4\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the galley tour we met the Chef de Cuisine, Biju Jacob&#8230;He told us stories about his culinary training, also the ins &amp; outs of ordering food for a cruise ship. The quantities of the food they bring on board are beyond belief!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/c6ad9d8b3600ecc8defd41cdcf0a15b9\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/9f8bc82f665c9d90acc668e1d8fd8529\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the Pastry Chef, Ramesh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/9b46bc624e0b100a2ad167988eabbe07\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And of course the lovely kitchen staff&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/aec2678b59af6c042c6ae11a1bca5230\" alt=\"test\" width=\"482.8071856287425\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/8db4b97d685d9fdbe239624db20aae25\" alt=\"test\" width=\"281.7027564649048\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All of the\u00a0food presentations were\u00a0gorgeous\u00a0&amp;\u00a0super tasty too!\u00a0The staffers had big smiles &amp; were super friendly. Every course\u00a0served up with lots of entertaining foodie stories&#8230; Inspirations behind the recipes, etc.\u00a0It was fun to speak with the chefs about their culinary educations. These folks are super well trained &amp; happy to share the inside scoop! A very personable bunch.<\/p>\n<p>We were even got\u00a0to dabble in some cooking&#8230;..sooooo fun!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/c59a30db64a5acd6ddd92c63bbe75dd3\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"429.1497005988024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the fun kitchen tour we sat down to a lovely meal with many courses. The Chef&#8217;s Tasting dinner seats 12 guests. It was a fun &amp; lovely bunch!<\/p>\n<p>These popovers were amazing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/79ae8a7549e573dac6d702c0e9f6caf8\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/3053144f326e98543ed61369e008df40\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As were all the smaller bites&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/193e9dcacb4d8ef92e104f2ecbe66b4b\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t this beet soup gorgeous? With little vegetable terrines&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/c537f3ea3b288e87c836b44c71562dbd\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Which led up to the larger courses&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/da9e5523f8cb615cdbd43287ae4147cc\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And of course dessert! A guest was celebrating a birthday so we indulged in a delicious chocolate cake&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/88770f29498edefea5abb1848c1997a5\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"814.7784431137725\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/a54a5aeec07f86ac2c8d6428b6d0dda1\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another dinner I paid extra for was the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/cruise-food\/steakhouse?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#6_1112&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">The Point Steakhouse<\/a>. I did not go into the kitchen for that meal. But the experience was amazing &amp; super memorable. I suggest you try it too if you cruise.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/6086b3110e7efbba692ca904768a752e\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This tomato salad appetizer was super fresh &amp; gorgeous!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/354e3416b44bff636dc537dbaf922e47\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My filet mignon was prepared to perfection&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/d211fd9586ef7ab9ee6ce6ff3505854d\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the wine list well represented all regions &amp; varietals. The sommelier was excellent with her recommendations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/a0456feed1dfd3c4081e41a8cfedc8b5\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/images.newscred.com\/b76f12010b29048098a5f22d81271c32\" alt=\"test\" width=\"322\" height=\"482.5868263473054\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnival.com\/dining?cid=So_CM_NA_P_AWG#6_1112&amp;DMP=5019,6120,7036,,8003\">culinary experiences<\/a> on board the ship were tasty &amp; memorable.
