    In the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula lies the island of Cozumel<\/a>. As a popular port of call for cruise ships<\/a>, this island offers vacation guests so much to see and do that it may be hard to choose. To help you out, here are 12 suggestions for planning your visit to Cozumel.<\/p>\n

    In and On the Water<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The second-largest reef system in the world exists in the clear blue waters southwest of Cozumel, making the island a top dive destination. In-water activities are available for all levels of swimmers. Not a swimmer? Don’t worry. You can still get in on the action!<\/p>\n

    1. Snorkel and Scuba<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Certified scuba divers can explore the underwater world<\/a> at Arrecifes de Cozumel National Marine Park with an experienced dive master, while beginning divers<\/a> can try the sport with a PADI-certified dive instructor.<\/p>\n

    For the young and the young at heart, the Cozumel area offers a choice of adventure parks with activities to entertain everyone. Xenses<\/a> has more than 15 activities that take you across air, land and water, while Adventure Park<\/a> and Xplor Park<\/a> offer zip lines and suspension bridges, along with swimming and snorkeling.<\/p>\n

    When you cruise to Cozumel, you can explore the ocean, the jungle, ancient Mayan ruins and contemporary Mexican culture.
