Cuba

Cuba famously sits just 90 miles from the United States — a stone’s throw, really — but in a lot of ways, could any other spot on the globe be further away? For decades throughout the Cold War and beyond, visiting Cuba was impossible for nearly all Americans… more of a dream than a vacation.

But today, this traveler’s jewel seems to sit a little bit closer — it’s just a Carnival cruise away! You can now visit the island on sailings departing from Miami or Tampa. Either way, you’re going to experience the history-rich capital city of Havana, which recently turned five hundred, during select Caribbean itineraries.

You may not have known that Havana is today the largest and most populated city in the Caribbean. But definitely don’t be surprised to find that this city of two million people, and countless classic cars, still keeps its world-renowned charm proudly on display.
