We care deeply about the communities we sail to — that’s why Carnival is supporting our neighbors in The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian.
Carnival Corporation and the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation are donating $2 million to relief efforts, and our work is well underway.
- For starters, we’ve partnered with two organizations that are at the forefront of the relief efforts, Direct Relief and World Central Kitchen. We’re proud to support the great work they’re doing on the ground in The Bahamas.
- Carnival’s efforts include a partnership with Tropical Shipping to collect food and supplies from our home base of South Florida and deliver them to the people of The Bahamas. Tropical Shipping coordinates with The Bahamian government’s emergency management agency to get assistance straight to the people who need it most.
- We’re proud to get directly involved, too. Two of our ships that cruise The Bahamas, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Pride, are making special visits to Freeport to deliver some much-needed relief supplies.
- We’re also asking Carnival guests to help! Our generous guests donated nearly $100,000 in the first weekend alone through donations to relief efforts using their onboard Sail & Sign® account.
We want to take a second to spotlight our on-the-ground partners… and tell you how you can support them. We’re so proud of the work they do!
Thank you in advance for your support. It is gratifying to see our company, our employees and our guests all working together to support the great people of The Bahamas.
