Notes

Requirements & Restrictions: Due to weight and balance limitations, guests weighing 250 pounds (113kg) or more, fully clothed, will be charged a second-seat surcharge of $150 to reserve adequate space on board the helicopter. Flights are restricted to one second-seat surcharge per departure time. Groups traveling together may be assigned on separate helicopters due to weight balancing. Due to security, no bags of any kind, tablets, drones, selfie sticks, or action camera extension poles are allowed on the flight. Infants up to and including the day prior to their second birthday are considered a lap child and do not require their own ticket. On or after their 2nd birthday, the child is required by the FAA to have their own seat and will be charged accordingly. Guests must be able to walk a minimum of 120 yards total during the tour. Guests must be able to navigate two steps that are approximately 18 inches high while getting in and out of the aircraft with little to no assistance.

What to Bring: Camera and binoculars. Dress in layers, including a waterproof outer shell, gloves, hat, and sunglasses. Wear sturdy and comfortable shoes.

Good to Know: This is a weather dependent tour up to the sole discretion of the tour operator. Seating in the helicopter is determined by weight and balance and is at the sole discretion of the tour operator. Time spent on the glacier may vary due to weather and glacial conditions. The distance walking from the base to the aircraft, and the distance from the helicopters to the tour site on the glacier is approximately 30 yards each way. The natural surface of the glacier can be uneven and cracked. The glare off the ice and snow is quite bright even if it is not sunny. Glacier overboots are provided to ensure a safe walk on the ice. The boots slip on over the present footwear. Complimentary lock boxes are available to store what you do not wish to take with you on tour. Professional photos available for purchase of your Dog Sled experience.
