Departing from the pier we will go directly to an organic Dominican chocolate factory where you can observe a video showing the organic chocolate production right from the tree - up to the final product. You will then get to enjoy a taste of this delicious chocolate.
Afterwards, driving through the Malecón, you will get to observe the San Felipe Fortress, built in 1564 to protect our city from Pirate attack. Here you will receive local guide information related to its history, followed by a panoramic view of Cathedral San Felipe and Plaza Independencia (former central park). Next, within the visit will be a tour of The Vivonte cigar shop to observe the cigar handmade process.
You will have the opportunity to buy a fresh handmade cigars and taste organic coffee. You will then make your way to “Don Fernando’s Ranch”. At the Ranch you will be able to walk along the pathway through plantations of different kind of local fruits like coffee, cacao, banana, mangos, sugar cane, among a variety of exotic flowers and plants. The tour finishes with a national rum museum visit, where, you will have the chance to buy and taste Dominican rum. Top it with a Dominican typical lunch including live music and dance.
