Your air-conditioned ride will take you through the coastal outskirts of the capital along the Caribbean Sea, and then along the Belize River. You will learn about the colonial history, village life and culture in Belize. You will then go into the heart of Ladyville for your visit to the Liberty Children’s Home. This orphanage is a safe haven and sanctuary for abused, abandoned and neglected children, and for children with special needs who require special care. It is managed by a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers to help in developing the facilities and meeting the growing needs of the children. You will get a tour of the facilities and learn of the daily routines and programs of the residents.
