Avalon Dive Park: This well-established marine preserve offers an abundance of local aquatic and plant life such as giant kelp, along with aquatic creatures like schooling fish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, spiny lobsters, horn sharks, tree fish, colorful Garibaldis and maybe even a giant black sea bass (seasonal), if you get lucky.
Snorkeling: This guided tour of the Avalon Dive Park will take you on a memorable Catalina Island activity as you explore the undersea gardens and learn about the local marine eco-system from the professionally trained instructors. Proceed to the dive site, directly from shore, where you will interact with hundreds of fish as your guides hand feed them.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 8 years. Minimum weight – 50 lbs. Maximum weight – 225 lbs. for women and 275 lbs. for men. Guests must be able to swim. For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with asthma, high blood pressure, heart or respiratory conditions may not participate on this excursion.
