Your tour begins with a 90-minute drive from the pier in Civitavecchia to Rome, where you will visit the impressive Colosseum. A brief, free time to take photographs will follow your visit before you re-board your coach. Drive to the Vatican City where you’ll have some time to have lunch or explore before you meet back with your tour guide. Walk to the entrance of the Vatican Museums and admire the amazing treasures collected by the popes throughout the centuries. You will have time to see a portion of the many beautiful pieces of work. Your tour continues with a visit to the Sistine Chapel, highlighted by Michelangelo's masterpieces and impressive frescos. Afterwards, you will visit St. Peter's Basilica. You will then rejoin the coach and return to Civitavecchia.

  • Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the Vatican Museum and St. Peters Basilica.
  • Should your guide determine that the queue at the St. Peter's Basilica and the Colosseum security check point is longer than a 45-minute wait, they will forego the interior visit and provide you with a full explanation and description from the outside, and free time for photos and shopping will be given.
  • Have shoulders and knees covered for visiting religious buildings.
  • Tour may operate in reverse order.
  • The Ministry of Tourism has established a maximum number of visitors that can be inside the Colosseum at once. Should this number be reached, entrance may be stopped and delayed.
  • This tour includes a considerable amount of walking, extended periods of standing and approximately 250 steps to negotiate.
  • Due to traffic regulation, motorcoaches are not allowed to get close to some highlights such the Colosseum; this will involve additional walking portions from/to pick-up/drop-off points during the tour.
