This tour you will allow you to experience the best of Curaçao. You will visit its beautiful city center, taste some authentic and exquisite Caribbean snacks and move to the beat of classic Caribbean rhythms. From the ship, you’ll walk through the famous Rif Fort to the city center of Curaçao, part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. At Brion Square, enjoy a sweeping backdrop of the beautiful bridges and colorful merchant houses. Then, you will cross the harbor entrance, either by the famous floating Queen Emma Bridge — if it is open, or by the ferries, if the bridge is closed. You'll get a close-up view of the beautiful merchant houses and make your way to the famous Fort Amsterdam, where you also see the old Fort Church. Next, you will continue on and pass by the floating fruit and vegetable market. This market originates from Venezuelan sailing ships, where the crew sells their products directly from the boats. Pass by the oldest synagogue of the Western hemisphere and visit one of the oldest squares of Willemstad. You’ll conclude your walk at the oceanfront, where you go to Scampi’s restaurant to enjoy a tasting of local Caribbean snacks. Soak up panoramic views of the ocean, while savoring on: four different types of island foods, and a local drink. After dining, participate in a fun, dynamic dance workshop. You'll learn the basics of popular Caribbean and South American dancing styles: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and the new craze, Kizomba. Afterwards, enjoy a pleasant walk back to the ship, located less than 15 minutes away.
