With this tour, you will experience Curaçao to the max. You will see its beautiful city center, taste some real exquisite Caribbean snacks and move on the typical Caribbean rhythms.

From the ship we walk through the famous Riffort to the city center of Curaçao, part of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST. At the Brion Square you have a great view over both famous bridges and the colorful merchant houses at the city center.

Next we will cross the harbor entrance either by the famous floating Queen Emma Bridge or the ferries in case the bridge is open. On the way to Fort Amsterdam, you will pass the beautifully colored merchant houses on the quay of the harbor entrance. Here you also see the old fort church.

We will continue and pass by the floating fruit & vegetable market. This typical market exists from Venezuelan schooners, where from the crew sells their products from their boats. We pass by the oldest synagogue of the Western hemisphere and visit one of the oldest squares of Willemstad.

We finish the walk at the famous oceanfront located arches in the old wall where you will experience a great tasting of Caribbean snacks and will join a very lively and dynamic dancing workshop. Our dancing workshop will teach the guest the basics of popular Caribbean & South American Dancing styles; Salsa, Merenque, Bachata and the new craze Kizomba.

The restaurant of Scampi’s is directly located at the oceanfront where you will have beautiful views over the ocean. At the restaurant you will enjoy a tasting of 4 delicious snacks accompanied by a local drink.

After the tasting enjoy a nice walk back to the ship, located less than 15 minutes away.

NOTES

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen.
