Details

Known as the Switzerland of North Germany with gently rolling hills that shape the landscape, the province of Schleswig-Holstein welcomes you to explore and take in all it has to offer. The tour begins with a quaint countryside drive with panoramic views to the town of Eutin. Once the domain of the local gentry and best known for the charming Eutin Castle, this town gives you a peek into its history. Explore the gardens of the manor house in the City of Roses, then take a walking tour with your guide through the narrow streets around the picturesque Marketplace Eutin. Step inside St. Michael's Church for a short visit. In Plönø, you will see the majestically located Plön Castle nestled between lakes on a hillside. Walk to the town center and visit St. Nikolai Church. Then embark on a scenic boat ride on Großer Plöner Lake. Your guide will tell you about the history of this region. At Dersau village, relax over a typical German lunch. On the way back to Kiel, make the most of a photo stop in Bosau — particularly well known for its beautiful historic church (circa 1151) dedicated to St Peter.
