Hoyo Azul (Blue Hole) ecological tour is designed to educate and bring our visitors face to face with nature to observe the Dominican Republic’s eco systems and how many different plants grow and proliferate in a controlled and also wild environment. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide that will guide you through amazing eco trails where you will have the opportunity to visit Orchid, Bromeliad, fern, cactus and endemic plants stations, stopping briefly at each station and learning everything about these fascinating species of plants.
The tour will end up at Hoyo Azul Cave; this is a natural pool, with crystal clear blue water, formed at the base of a giant cliff. Visitors will be able to jump in and enjoy these fresh and reviving waters for 30 minutes. Before we return back to the lobby we will have a brief stop at our animal encounter area where you will have the opportunity to have face-to-face contact with the Park’s animals, such as macaws, python snakes, or other rare and exotic animals. You may interact with trainers and ask questions about the species.
