
This highly interactive excursion is a great way to discover the traditions, way of life and natural beauty of Costa Rica. Begin with a 1 hour to 1¼; hour drive to Estrella Valley, passing by vast coastlines, quaint towns and plantations heading to the Bocuare Reserve, nested deep in the Limon Province. Cross a hanging bridge that leads you to a lagoon where your guided trek through the tropical jungle begins. Admire the magnificent trees located in the Bocuare Reserve. At the reserve, you’ll find over 85 registered bird species. Later, take a tractor pulled wagon to see the small village of Bocuare. Continue your journey to see an old sugar mill. At the sugar mill, you’ll learn how sugar cane was produced manually, help in the juice extraction and sample some sugar cane juice. Change into your swimsuit and take a dip into the swimming pool, located in the middle of the rain forest. Arrive at an open-air restaurant where a Costa Rica style lunch will be served and prepared by the Bocuare family. This tour ends at the artisans’ market inside the Port Limon facilities, where you can browse for souvenirs.
