Enjoy a fun combination of snorkeling and scuba diving that allows you to explore without the cumbersome scuba equipment and without the surface limitations of snorkeling. Take an island bus from the pier to Gumbalimba Nature Park where you'll have an orientation and practice session in shallow water. Walk into the water and Snuba at a depth comfortable to you - a maximum of 20 feet for about 25-30 minutes. See starfish, rays, octopi and juvenile fish hiding in the sea grass and then move on to a coral reef teeming with a spectrum of tropical fish. Gumbalimba Park includes a wide range of activities: animal preserve with jump-on-your-shoulders monkeys, free-flying exotic birds, botanical gardens with over 200 colorful plant and tree species, numerous waterfalls and fountains, a picturesque hanging bridge over the fishing pond and a peaceful sandy beach with lounge chairs situated for the sun-lovers, or hammocks hung among the tree clusters for shade-lovers.
