Join us on this Old San Juan walking tour where you will depart with your knowledgeable tour guide on foot to visit the colorful community of La Perla. Visit the only basketball court in the world surrounded by an historical wall protected as a world heritage site by UNESCO. You will also see one of the 1st Head Start centers, a program created by the late mayor of San Juan, Felissa Rincón de Gautier, and late implemented in the Mainland USA. Then, use your hearts and soul in San Juan by lending your time to come alongside the local community for some much needed support. Your experience offers the opportunity to make meaningful connections with the people of Puerto Rico while supporting their community efforts. The specific project will change depending on the community needs that may include some hands-on task like engaging in cleaning, preparing or planting a variety of native, endemic trees that are in danger of extinction or planting beautiful flowers to make San Juan beautiful again.
