Your tour begins with a sightseeing motor coach drive through Gothenburg. Traveling through the heart of the city, you will pass Götaplatsen and its towering Poseidon statue. Your drive continues past the Museum of Fine Arts, the Concert Hall and the Municipal Theatre as you head toward the Feskekyrkan fish market, the Opera House and Liseberg Amusement Park. You will then have approximately 1½ hours of free time to roam the city before heading out to the archipelago by ferry. After, explore the beautiful northern archipelago of Öckeröand be amazed by nature’s beauty as it is a chain spread over 10 islands. It is located about 25 minutes from Gothenburg and connected to the mainland solely by ferry. This maritime area provides glorious ocean views and is host to an array of fishing boats and boathouses. It is surrounded by arctic flora, ancient artifacts and charming fishing huts. You will also make a short stop at the old Öckerö Church that dates back to the Middle Ages. Then, enjoy a visit to the local folklore center, where you will be served coffee and a pastry before you continue your journey on to the connecting islands of Hönö and Fotö. On the island of Hönö, you will have a short guided walking tour and be able to learn more about the area. Afterward, enjoy some free time to stroll through the old fishing village, where rustic huts are nestled throughout the granite landscape. When your tour is over, you’ll return to the mainland for a ride back to your ship.
