Taste of Malta

Depart quayside by coach to the San Anton Gardens, laid out by Grand Master Antoine de Paule as grounds to his summer residence. Today, it is the residence of the President of Malta. Various heads of state have visited the gardens over the years. The garden is a botanical delight with mature trees, old stone urns, fountains, ponds and flower beds. Your next location is the vineyard in Ta Qali, situated along the old airway strip, used by the British during World War II. This is where Brain May’s father was stationed as a pilot with Royal Air force in 1942. At this winery, some of Malta’s most delicate wines are produced. You will have the opportunity to savor the taste of our earth’s produce, during a wine tasting session accompanied by local nibbles. After the winery, you will proceed to the Mdina Glass Blowing Factory to watch local artisans at work, producing typical Maltese ware which include glass. Enjoy some free time to stroll around before embarking the coach to drive back to the pier.
