Enjoy a picturesque ride to St. Thomas’ highest points where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands, first from the highest point - Mountain Top, with its breathtaking down island views, then from your 2nd stop, the gardens of Villa Botanica, a lush tropical rain forest situated on a 5 ½ acre former sugar plantation estate 1500’ above Charlotte Amalie - site of the ruined Plantation Crown and Hawk. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and provided with a brief history of the plantation as well as an interesting talk about local Caribbean flora, spices, herbs, culinary dishes and bush teas used in medicine and as remedies by many locals. Explore the winding nature trails featuring thousands of tropical plants, palms, cacti, fruit trees and gingers as well as an orchid garden, wind chime and vine jungle grotto, local spice and herb garden, and many other exotic plants. Enjoy a complementary tasting of rum and local bush tea.
