Discover Lysefjord, one of the most beautiful fjords in all of Norway, from the comfort of your watercraft. The name “Lysefjord” means light fjord, and it is thought to be named for the lightly colored granite rocks along its sides. The fjord was carved by the force of glaciers during the ice ages, and was flooded by the sea when the later glaciers retreated. During your two-hour cruise, you will enjoy spectacular views of mountainous landscapes, steep cliffs and stunning waterfalls. Make sure to get your cameras ready as you will put it to good use on this picturesque filled tour! You will also get to see a notable Stavanger highlight — the “Pulpit” which is a rock formation that towers more than 1,800 ft above sea level. Along the way, you will take a break and have some delicious coffee and Norwegian waffles at a local restaurant. After you grab a bite to eat, you will continue your journey on the boat and might have a chance to meet some of the exciting birds and animals that surround the area such as sea eagles, seals or small whales. After your tour, you will sail back to the port.
