Travel through time for a glimpse into Norway’s ancient past, present and future. Visit the Iron Age Farm to discover what life was like in the 4th century and take a stroll down the cobblestone streets of Old Stavanger. Start your tour by boarding your motor coach for a short ride that takes you to Stavanger’s old port that is surrounded by 17-century wooden houses and the town market. Pass by Mill Bay and the famous Sword Monument before reaching Ullandhaug and the Iron Age Farm. Take a look back at history while the staff demonstrates various skills from ancient times using iron tools and weapons, and have a chance give to give some of these a try! After the farm, enjoy a quick stop that gives you a panoramic view of the Jæren countryside and Ryfylke Mountains for a great photo op. Then, travel to the Petroleum Museum where you’ll be able to experience what life is like on a North Sea oil platform and see the development of the oil industry in Norway. After the museum, you will return via motor coach to Stavanger, where you can either return to your ship or remain in town at your own expense.
