Visitor’s Center: Embark on a journey through the stunning Shirakami-Sanchi Beech Forest, a primeval oasis of ancient trees nestled in the Shirakami Mountains. Explore the Shirakami Mountain Visitor’s Center, featuring exhibits on over 500 plant species and diverse wildlife.
Forest Walk: Kick off your trek at Aqua Green Village with a boxed lunch, then venture through a stunning forest filled with impressive 70-ft.-tall wingnut and 79-ft.-tall Japanese beech trees. Be on the lookout for local wildlife, including golden eagles and soaring hawks.
Accessibility: This tour may not be suitable for individuals with walking or mobility difficulties. It includes 2 hours of trekking and is an active experience that involves traveling along steep, unpaved, and uneven paths.

What to Bring: Bring comfortable, casual outdoor attire along with sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots. Additionally, please bring a light jacket or windbreaker to prepare for varying weather conditions.
Good to Know: The tour does not operate from November to early May due to winter snow closures in the Shirakami region. It operates from June to early October and may be cancelled due to adverse weather or closed trekking routes. If the Shirakami Mountains Visitor Center is unavailable, a visit to Beech Nishimeya Shopping Centre will be substituted. Traffic delays may occur, and the tour order is subject to change.
