Notes

Requirements & Restrictions: Guests must be able to walk short distances over uneven terrain and manage steps to get on and off vehicles (bus and boat). For safety reasons, pregnant women, and guests with back or neck injuries may not participate in this excursion. Climbing the ruins is not allowed during or after rain due to safety reasons.

What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, light clothing, sunscreen, hat, insect repellant, poncho, camera and credit/debit card or cash for additional purchases.

Good to Know: The tour operator will split guests into two groups, with one group starting the tour with a bus ride, while the other group commences with a boat ride, and then the groups will swap experiences. The boat ride is approximately two hours and bus ride is approximately 45 minutes. Restrooms are only available at Altun Ha Maya site and at the restaurant where lunch is served. There are no restrooms on board the bus or boat. Mosquitos are highly expected during rainy season from June to November. Rain is also common during dry season. Tour may run in reverse order
