This unusual walking tour is a gentle 2.5-hour insider's introduction to some parts of Dublin well known to the locals – your chance to see a lively part of the city that is a best-kept secret. Depart the harbor town of Dun Laoghaire and travel to Dublin City where, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you'll take in the history and culture as you sample delicious foods in historic neighborhoods within a stone's throw of the city center. Meet the people whose families have traded in one spot for generations and others who have introduced entirely new products to Dublin, all contributing to the modern Irish table. Along the way, you'll encounter the places Dubliners like to frequent for lunch or dinner and stop at one of these spots for a cup of coffee or another beverage that is locally cherished. Tastings are frequent and generous. At the end of your walk, enjoy about 30 minutes of free time to explore on your own. Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Tour does not always operate on Sundays. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
