Get on a comfortable air-conditioned bus and be ready to make the most of your time in Ensenada. During your 50-minute drive, your certified tour guide will tell you everything you need to know about the history of the area, activities and traditions. In La Bufadora, the world’s second largest marine blowhole in the world which, if conditions are right, can blast as much as ten tons of water as high as a hundred feet in the air. While at La Bufadora, you will be provided with a taco lunch at Lidia’s Tacos, arguably, the best in town. Then it’s back to the bus for a ride back in to town to visit the “Riviera del Pacífico”, a 1930’s prohibition era ex-gambling casino with an incredible story that your tour guide will share with you, as you enjoy a courtesy Margarita cocktail, at the bar where the popular drink was created. From there you’ll visit Ensenada’s Cathedral where you’ll admire its beautiful art and architecture. Then it will be a short drive to Bodegas de Santo Tomás, Mexico’s second oldest winery, where you’ll get to tasting some of the country’s best wines inside another historical building, that used to double as the home of former owner and ex-president of Mexico back in the 1930’s. Once back in the bus, you’ll be taken on a city tour where you will see old Ensenada, including Parque Revolución, the oldest park in the state, our beach Playa Hermos, the famous fish market known as “El Mercado Negro” and the Civic Plaza and its statues. Last stop will be at Tequilera Doña Engracia where you can opt to stay on your own for free tequila tasting, only a few blocks away from the pier, or remain on the bus for a ride back to your cruise ship.
