Travel through Funchal by motor coach and arrive at Cabo Girao, one of Europe’s highest standing sea cliffs at over 1,800 feet above sea level. You’ll travel past the picturesque fishing village of Camara de Lobos followed by vineyards, terraced fields, pinewoods, and eucalyptus groves. Arrive at Cabo Girao’s peak with dramatic views of the coast and Funchal in the distance. Later, enjoy the scenic view from Pico dos Barcelos observation deck, a panoramic scenery of Funchal with its red-tiled roofs. Next, head to the Mercado dos Lavradores (the Funchal farmers market), hosting colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, and crafts where local Madeiran people shop daily. Afterwards, proceed to the embroidery factory and witness, first-hand, how hand-stitched embroidery is made. Embroidery has long been one of Madeira's exports and is as acclaimed as the island’s wine which will be offered to you as you browse the showroom. Enjoy your glass of wine before heading back to the pier.
