Board your motor coach and take a scenic drive through Funchal. You’ll travel past the picturesque fishing village of Camara de Lobos followed by vineyards, terraced fields, pinewoods, and eucalyptus groves enroute to the clifftop. Cabo Girao, the second highest sea cliff in the world at 1,500 feet above sea level, offers stunning views of the Funchal coastline. Next, make a photo stop at Pico dos Barcelos for panoramic shot of Funchal with its red-tiled roofs. Proceed to Blandy’s Wine Lodge, one of the oldest and most respected producers of Madeira wine, established in 1811. You'll learn about four different types of Madeiran wine and then sample two varieties of your choosing. You can even purchase a few bottles before you complete your tour and head back to the ship.
