Scenic Drive, The Blandy Wine Lodge & Tasting

On this half-day tour, you’ll ride to Poiso Pass, one of Madeira’s highest peaks at 4,300 feet above sea level. Also enjoy sweeping views at the summit of Pico do Arieiro, which rises 5,900 feet above sea level. From there, you’ll continue to Santo da Serra and Camões Pequeno, topping along the way at a scenic overlook of Machico, a small resort town dating back from the 15th century. Once you arrive at the village of Santo da Serra, head over to the Santo da Serra Golf Course to enjoy coffee, tea and traditional Madeira cake. Then, you’ll head to Blandy’s Wine Lodge, established in 1811 and one of the oldest and most respected wine producers in Madeira. While there, you’ll have a chance to learn about the different types of Madeira wine, sample 2 varieties, and purchase bottles of wine before returning back to your ship.
