Enjoy a scenic drive through the streets of Funchal along with a visit to a eucalyptus forest. You will pass the village of Monte on the way up to the viewpoint at Pico do Arieiro, Madiera’s third-highest peak, with an elevation of 5,937 feet. Pico de Arieiro consists of beautiful views and landscapes in the clouds. Continue on to the village of Santo da Serra and stop for a light refreshment. Finally, return to Funchal via the resort town of Machico and visit a wine lodge to sample some local blends before returning to the pier.
What to Bring: A jacket is recommended, as Madeira has a microclimate. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended.
