  • Be accompanied by an experienced ecological guide on this unique journey of discovery, as you travel through the busy city of Honolulu and on to the crater at Diamond Head. 
  • You'll hear captivating stories about the origins and history of this world famous landmark, while standing within its extinct volcanic crater.
  • Then, travel along the southern coast to Hanauma Bay and the famous Halona Point blowhole, where seawater pushing through a volcanic vent erupts into a large fountain.  
  • The Makapu’u Lookout, with its incredible panoramic views, lies ahead as you learn about this area’s volcanic origins and its many interesting bird and plant species from your naturalist guide. 
  • Witness a dramatic change in the island’s topography as you continue toward the windward coast.  
  • While pausing at Ulupo Heiau, a former war temple that is now a wonderfully preserved archaeological site, hear about the plants that served as food for the early Hawaiians. 
  • Continue toward the windward coast for a final stop at the Pali Lookout, high in the Koolau Mountains.
