Discover the diversity of the southeast Alaska landscape via helicopter as you fly over the temperate rainforests and granite peaks that surround the Juneau ice field.
On this incredible excursion you will take a short ride to the heliport where after a brief orientation you will board the helicopter for a scenic 20-minute flight to the glacier.
Your pilot will choose a landing site on one of the 36 glaciers borne of this 1,500 square-mile ice field.
Learn during this 1-hour interpretive walk detailed explanations of glacier environments from your guide and be allowed ample time for photo opportunities. Re-board the helicopters after the walk for your return flight.
Note: You must be a minimum 8 years of age for this excursion. Total flying time is 30 minutes.
Rain and windproof outerwear, boots, gloves, trekking poles and crampons are all provided.
Guests must be in reasonable physical condition in order to participate.
