Whale Watching: Enjoy a narrated ride to Auke Bay (Statter Harbor). Upon arrival, you’ll meet the crew and board the vessel. Relax in a heated cabin with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy outside viewing areas while on the lookout for wildlife. Keep your camera close – you never know when the perfect photo opportunity will arise! Search for humpback whales, sea lions, porpoises, bald eagles, and various marine birds. Cruising through Alaska’s Inside Passage, learn about whales and the history of its lighthouses.

Sentinel Island Lighthouse: Upon arrival at Sentinel take a short walk on a scenic boardwalk loop with photo opportunities along the way. Amazing views include Lynn Canal (one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world) and the surrounding islands and waterways. Think of the deep maritime history from its construction in 1902. Climb up the lighthouse tower and look across beautiful Lynn Canal. Enjoy a scenic ride to Yankee Cove and finally stop at the Brotherhood Bridge viewpoint of the Mendenhall Glacier.

Accessibility: For guests with limited mobility, a walker, cane or collapsible wheelchair is allowed. Guests must be fully ambulatory to explore Sentinel Island and the lighthouse – guests may opt to stay on the boat with the captain during the 30-minute lighthouse stop.

Requirements & Restrictions: All children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Guests must be able to safely traverse on uneven ground and ramps.

What to Bring: Camera, comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather, sturdy walking shoes, cash to tip your crew, credit/debit card for purchases.
