Heavenly Messages: Enjoy a scenic drive to the historic town of Shih-Fen where you will take part in the enchanting tradition of releasing sky lanterns. Once used by miners to signal their safety, these 4 ft. x 2 ft. oiled rice paper lanterns now carry your prayers, dreams and wishes skyward. Write your message, light the candle, and watch as it ascends into the heavens.
Keelung Tower: Continue to Keelung Tower, the city's newest attraction that opened in early 2024. This bright orange tower features a unique crane shape and offers stunning 360-degree panoramic views, making it one of the top lookout points in Keelung.
Night Market: Discover Miaokou Night Market where you can shop for apparel and everyday items while savoring an array of culinary delights from various food stalls.
Good to Know: Sky-lantern release experience is based on four guests sharing one sky-lantern. Most vendors at the night market only accept local currency. Please note that Keelung Tower will be closed for renovation from April 1 through the end of 2026. During this time, the visit will be replaced with Zhongzheng Park, which offers panoramic views overlooking Keelung Harbour. Guests will enjoy beautiful evening scenery, with city lights illuminating the port. Please be advised that approximately 40 steps are required to reach the observatory.
