Zodiac Expedition: Prepare for an off-grid adventure on a Zodiac Expedition through the magnificent George Inlet Fjords! Equipped with rain jackets, pants, and boots, hop aboard a self-driven Zodiac, ranging from four to six passengers and embark on a thrilling ride. Your experienced guide will lead you through mountain terrain, lush forests, and picturesque vistas, where you may spot bald eagles, harbor seals, black-tail deer, black bears, and the sight of salmon streams flowing amidst waterfalls and hidden coves.

Notes

Requirements & Restrictions: Guests must be able to take a few steps (up/down) to enter and exit the bus and boat. Guests must also be able to walk short distances, including a ramp to the dock to reach the zodiac. Depending on the tides, the ramp may be steeper during a low tide. Minimum age – 5 years. Maximum age – 75 years. The minimum age to drive the watercraft is 25 years with a valid driver's license. All guests are required to wear a life jacket before loading onto the zodiac. For safety reasons, this excursion is not recommended for guests who are pregnant or have back/neck injuries and they should proceed with caution.

What to Bring: Clothing suited to the weather conditions, closed toe shoes, cameras or binoculars, and credit/debit cards or cash for additional purchases.

Good to Know: When arriving at the Tongass National Forest, expect chilly and wet conditions. For guests with mobility difficulties, a guide may drive them through the trail on a UTV upon availability. Please advise your tour guide upon check-in the morning of the tour. Routes may vary upon the tide levels and weather conditions, but can include a zip up to the mouth of Mahoney Glacial Cirque, Mahoney Asche Mine, Coon Cove, and White River Cove. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed since it varies by season and weather conditions. Gloves, winter hats, and baseball caps are available for purchase.
