A short walk from the pier takes you back to a bygone era where the history of Alaska’s frontier comes to life and lumberjacks display their dazzling skills. The show is held in a covered, heated and cushioned grandstand. Alaska’s frontier lumberjacks battle British Columbia’s premier woodsmen in a no-holds-barred competition for the title of “Bull of the Woods.” Watch these world-champion athletes compete in springboard chopping, buck sawing, axe throwing, log rolling and the thrilling 50-foot tree climb while your host delights with lumberjack lore. Meet the jacks after the show for pictures, then the fun continues as you compete in a thrilling Axe Throwing Competition. You’ll learn the art of throwing a 7-lb razor-sharp axe, and then, after a little practice, you will go head to head in a thrilling competition against other participants. Walk back to the ship at your leisure.
Requirements & Restriction: Minimum age – 10 years. Guests must walk from the ship to the venue – distance may vary depending on the ship docking pier and could go from 0.25 to 0.5 miles.
