Family Fun: Ephesus & Sirince Village

A visit to Ephesus is a visit to one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. Ancient historians believed that the Amazons founded Ephesus, but now it is believed to have been the Hittite city of Apasa. With your guide, you will see the Odeon, where the advisory council held its meetings and the baths. Other columns, monuments and ruins include the Celsus Library and the Great Theater. In Sirince Village, experience the perfect synthesis of Turkish and Greek culture, and world-famous Turkish hospitality. Stroll through the streets where the houses are kept in Greek style on the outside, while the interiors are distinctly Turkish. There will be time to shop for handicrafts and souvenirs if you wish. Lunch is served at a village restaurant, where you will enjoy an array of Turkish specialties accompanied by locally produced wines. Return to Kusadasi for shopping and a Turkish carpet demonstration, or head directly back to the ship.
