Enjoy a scenic tour of the Galicia’s main highlights. The tour will begin with a panoramic view of the city of A Coruña by motor coach. On the way, you will see the galleries located in front of the harbor that give the city its name, “The Crystal City,” due to the hundreds of windows these houses have. As you drive along, you will pass the Castle of San Antón, built on an island. Once a fortress protecting the city, today it is an archaeological museum connected to the city by a stretch of road. Next stop is the Tower of Hercules. This beacon was built by the Romans and is the only lighthouse in the world of its kind that is still used for its original purpose. A short stop will then be made at a village, where you will see the 14th-century Tower of Andrade. Here passengers will have a little time to wander around or have some coffee. Afterward, you’ll head to the Pazo de Mariñan, an old Galician manor, where you can visit splendid French-style gardens and see the oldest eucalyptuses in Galicia. Return to A Coruña via the motorway, where the views are even more beautiful, and head back to your ship.
