
Your tour begins with a panoramic drive through the city of A Coruña via motor coach. As you travel, you will see galleries filled with hundreds of windows that face the harbor and give the city its namesake, the Crystal City. Its promenade is the longest in Europe and surrounds most of A Coruña’s coastline. You will pass the Castle of San Anton which was built on an island. Your next stop will be the Tower of Hercules, a beacon built by the Romans, is the only lighthouse in the world of its kind that is still working for its original purposes. Then you’ll head to Betanzos — one of the capitals of the Old Galician Kingdom and the city of the medieval Knights. Take a walk through the narrow streets of this area and see its typical ancient homes. At the top of the hill, you’ll see the Church of San Francisco, with its 14th century Gothic architecture and where the tomb of Fernán Pérez de Andrade is located. After your tour, you’ll head over to a local restaurant, where you will enjoy tasty tapas before returning to the pier.
