Your tour will begin with a panoramic view of the city of A Coruña by motor coach. At the harbor, you will see the galleries located in front of the harbor that give the city its name, “The Crystal City,” due to the hundreds of windows these houses have. At the promenade — the longest in Europe, surrounding most of A Coruna’s coastline — you will pass the Castle of San Antón, built on an island. Once a fortress protecting the city, today it is an archaeological museum connected to the city by a stretch of road. Next stop is the Tower of Hercules. This beacon was built by the Romans and is the only lighthouse in the world of its kind that is still used for its original purpose. Next, you’ll head to Maria Pita Square and the Town Hall. Here you will have free time to wander through the city center, where you can find myriad shops, bars, markets, etc. Afterward, return to the Town Hall at the designated time to board your motor coach and return to the ship.
