Porto On Your Own

This tour is great for people who like to explore a city on their own and at their own pace. You will board a motor coach and ride from the pier to the city. Once there, you will get dropped off at a central location, and your coach escort will inform you of the pick-up time for the return drive back to the pier. You then will have approximately 4 hours to shop and explore on your own. Stroll along Flores Street and the Ribeira district, and see the granite structures all around. Walk past the Clerigos Tower, a church bell tower whose exterior was once the tallest structure in Portugal, and admire the Douro River, filled with local rabelos (wooden cargo boats) and dotted with several grand bridges. Or stop in the beautiful Art District and visit one of the local coffee houses before shopping for souvenirs. Once you’re done, rejoin your motor coach at the agreed-upon time and return to your ship.
