Sloth Sanctuary: Get to know and love the charming, ever smiling sloths at the Aviarios del Caribe Sloth Sanctuary, an attraction made famous by the popular series “Meet the Sloths” on Animal Planet, learn about the rescue center and the important work done by members of the Arroyo Family, founders of the Sanctuary. See these enigmatic animals up close and learn about their living habits and unique personalities.
Tortuguero Canals: After a short drive, board an open-air boat for a trip through the Tortuguero Canals, a system of natural & man-made water channels with over 300 species of trees and other species of plant-life as well as a wide array of birds. Take a walk inside the rainforest along gravel trails, enjoy bottled water and fresh fruits to replenish your energy.

Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 4 years. For safety reasons and due to the amount of walking and steps, guests should be in good health to participate on this excursion. For safety reasons, those with mobility difficulties, heart conditions, and pregnant women may not participate on this excursion.
What to Bring: Camera, hat, sunglasses and comfortable walking shoes.
Good to Know: Tour order may be changed. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. In order for the sloths to be returned to their natural environment, they are kept at a distance and not available to touch or hold. No flash photography allowed.
